Tenzing hires Inflexion's Hamilton as co-managing partner

UK lower-mid-market investor Tenzing Private Equity has hired Inflexion's Christian Hamilton as co-managing partner.
Hamilton will drive the business alongside managing partner Guy Gillon, with whom he had been acquainted since 2007. Founded in 2015, Tenzing will count four partners once Hamilton has joined, adding to Guy Gillon (who founded the business), Rob Jones and Ian Coghlan.
The young private equity firm focuses on buyouts for high-growth businesses in the UK lower-mid-market, deploying £5-15m per transaction.
Tenzing has most recently been involved in deals including Fleetway, teaming up with Synova Capital to acquire the online travel platform in a deal thought to be worth up to £30m.
Hamilton was previously a partner at UK private equity house Inflexion, having joined the firm as it closed its maiden fund back in 2003. He has since been involved in several of Inflexion's most high-profile transactions, such as Reward Gateway (7.7x return) and Aspen Pumps (14x return). Most recently, he was involved in the GP's newly launched Partnership Capital arm, which focuses on minority transactions.
