
Rutland appoints two

Rutland Partners has appointed Matthew Hamilton-Allen from Hawkpoint Partners and Jason Birt from Rothschild as investment executives.
Both new hires join Rutland's deal team and will focus on originating, evaluating and executing deals.
Hamilton-Allen joins from Hawkpoint, where he spent four years in the corporate advisory division covering private equity transactions. He studied economics at Durham University and holds a masters in finance from Durham University Business School.
Birt joins from Rothschild where he worked in the consumer, retail and leisure team. Before that he spent four years with EY in the corporate finance team, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2012. Birt has a degree in economics from the University of Warwick.
