Dunedin's Derry to chair ICAEW corporate finance faculty

The ICAEW Corporate Finance Faculty has appointed Giles Derry, a partner at Dunedin, as its chairman – marking the first time a private equity professional has held the role.
Derry joined Dunedin in 2005 from Sand Aire Private Equity. He is responsible for national origination activity at Dunedin, across direct and intermediary channels.
Derry was involved in the £9m investment in Formaplex and the secondary buyout of Red Commerce from Inflexion for £44m.
He graduated in natural sciences from Durham University, before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in 1996. He has been a member of the board of ICAEW's corporate finance faculty since 2006.
