Lloyds bolsters northern acquisition finance team
Lloyds Bank has hired Will Johnson as associate director and promoted Rob McCann to director in its northern acquisition finance team.
Johnson joins from Deloitte, where he was most recently an assistant director in the firm's corporate finance practice in Leeds. He joined the company as a graduate in 2008 and specialised in buy-side private equity transactions – including the MBO of Sumo Digital by Northedge in November last year.
McCann, meanwhile, joined Lloyds as an associate director in 2013. He will continue to work on private equity acquisitions and refinancings, primarily in the Yorkshire region. He has notably been involved in deals such as CBPE's buyout of Allied Glass from Equistone in 2013, as well as GTCR's acquisition of Callcredit in early 2014.
Lloyds' acquisition finance team completed 17 deals in the north of England and Scotland in 2014, deploying £322m.
