Jones Day hires BLP's Weir
International law firm Jones Day has hired Michael Weir as a partner in its private equity practice in the London office.
Weir joins from Berwin Leighton Paisner, where he was a corporate finance partner specialising in private equity. Weir's areas of expertise include advising on public takeovers, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations and joint ventures.
In August this year Jones Day appointed Raymond McKeeve, former global head of Berwin Leighton Paisner's private equity practice, as a partner.
