Private equity considering takeover of Bintons Carpets
UK-based Bintons Carpets is reportedly in talks with an unnamed private equity firm over a potential sale.
The carpet manufacturer, which has been family owned for 200 years, says it is currently in discussion with a global private equity fund over a potential investment.
Kidderminster-based Bintons Carpets was founded in 1783 and has four factories across the UK, Portugal and India, with a fifth unfinished facility in China. The company says any new investment would be "transformational" for its future prospects.
