
Sovereign appoints Barclays Ventures’ Morgan

UK private equity house Sovereign Capital has hired Barclays Ventures founding member Jeremy Morgan as a director.
Morgan joined Barclays Bank in 1993. He opened Barclays Ventures' Birmingham office and went on to jointly lead the London and south team from 2000 to 2010. He then became co-head of the business as it went into wind-down mode, and former managing director Kip Kapur resigned.
Over his career, Morgan has completed more than 30 deals, including System C Healthcare, Options Group and Original Additions.
Morgan studied engineering and electronic engineering at Warwick University. He is non-executive director of Anglian Home Improvement.
