
Orrick appoints partner in corporate group
Orrick has appointed Shawn Atkinson as partner in its corporate group.
Atkinson, who joins from Edwards Wildman Palmer where he spent four years, will advise companies, venture capital and private equity firms in Europe, the US and emerging markets.
He joined Edwards Wildman Palmer in 2010 as partner, following a three-year stint at Kirkland & Ellis as associate. He has also worked at firms including Linklaters, as legal counsel to hedge fund CQS, and in the legal department of JP Morgan.
Emma Raleigh, with whom Atkinson has worked for the last four years, also joins Orrick as associate.
