Debevoise finance partner relocates to London
Global law firm Debevoise & Plimptonтs finance partner Pierre MaugУМУЉ will move from the firm's New York office to London, effective from July.
The move will enable Maugüé to serve the firm's expanding European client base as well as to meet the global financing needs of US clients, according to Debevoise.
A member of the firm's international finance team, Maugüé focuses on acquisition and leveraged buyout financings, corporate finance, and domestic and international structured and project financings. He works alongside specialists in English, French, German, Russian and US law.
Maugüé joined Debevoise in 1999, originally being based in the Hong Kong office, before relocating to New York in 2002. Admitted to the New York bar in 1996, he received a magistere and DESS in business and tax law from the University of Paris in 1991, followed by a master's in comparative jurisprudence from New York University in 1995. Maugüé speaks fluent French and English.
Founded in 1931, Debevoise serves a client base that includes several global private equity firms among others. The firm has offices in New York, Washington, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
