
NVM appoints new investment director

NVM Private Equity has hired Charles Winward as an investment director.
Winward has joined the firm's investment team to source, transact and manage VCT investments.
He joins after a seven-year stint at IP Group, where he was managing director of the company's fund management and advisory subsidiary. There, he worked on creating and developing spinout technology companies from university intellectual property, such as Tracsis, Xeros Technology, Boxarr and hVivo. He was also responsible for the firm's IP Venture Fund and the North East Technology Fund.
Prior to that, Winward worked as technology strategist for JP Morgan following a period as officer in the British Royal Navy.
