AnaCap credit fund hits £350m hard-cap
AnaCap Financial Partners has closed Credit Opportunities Fund II on its ТЃ350m hard-cap.
The fund received commitments from the State of New Jersey, Hamilton Lane and Ohio Public Employees Retirement System, among others. It has an investment period of three years and a lifetime of eight years.
AnaCap, which has been fundraising for six months, reported that the fund will target performing, semi-performing, and non-performing SME debt throughout Europe. It describes the credit fund market as "driven by the need for financial institutions to deleverage after years of over-expansion".
Justin Sulger, partner and head of credit opportunities, believes the fund will benefit from AnaCap's previous experience in the field, and its professional network in the European financial services sector.
