Carey Olsen appoints two partners
Offshore law firm Carey Olsen has appointed David Crosland and Andreas Kistler as partners in Guernsey and Jersey, respectively.
Based in Guernsey, Crosland (pictured) joined the corporate group, while over in Jersey, Kistler joined the litigation group.
Crosland trained with Clifford Chance in London and joined the firm's private funds group in 2004. He joined Carey Olsen's corporate group in 2007 and qualified as a Guernsey advocate in 2011. Crosland advises fund managers and financial services firms on the launch, administration, restructuring and listing of closed- and open-ended investment funds.
Kistler, who qualified as a Jersey advocate earlier this year, joined Carey Olsen in 2005 from the commercial litigation department of a New Zealand law firm. He spent several years in Carey Olsen's London office before moving to Jersey in 2011. Kistler represents clients in contentious and non-contentious court proceedings including trustee court applications, the use of schemes of arrangement in corporate takeovers and post-listed reductions of capital.
