Impetus-PEF appoints Andrew Ratcliffe as CEO
Private equity charity Impetus-PEF has hired Andrew Ratcliffe as its new chief executive, following the departure of Daniela Barone Soares, who stepped down last year.
Ratcliffe was previously deputy CEO of the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative, where he was active on fundraising, communications and strategic issues. Previous roles include senior policy adviser for education in the Prime Minister's Strategy Unit, as well as a stint working for the social policy department at Oxford University.
Ratcliffe will start in the new role in April, replacing Barone Soares, who stepped down in June last year after nine years at the charity's helm.
Following her departure, Impetus-PEF chairperson Johannes Huth and trustees Louis Elson, Caroline Mason and Nat Sloane led a search committee to find a replacement. Portfolio director Julia Grant acted as CEO in the interim.
