Grant Thornton promotes Woodcock and Platt to director
Grant Thornton has promoted both Simon Woodcock and Anthony Platt to director in its corporate finance team.
Woodcock oversees the company's advisory activity for M&A transactions, disposals, fundraising and refinancings across Surrey, Kent and Sussex, with a particular focus on the business support services sector. He joined the firm in 2008 following stints with BTG McInnes Corporate Finance, UHY Hacker Young and Pridie Brewster Corporate Finance.
Platt joined Grant Thornton more recently, leaving his role as assistant director at EY in December 2012 after six years with the firm. He specialises in the technology, media and telecommunications sector and advises primarily on growth capital transactions, private equity buyouts and private M&A deals.
The appointment comes shortly after Grant Thornton announced the promotion of Keely Woodley and Usman Malik to partner in its business support services team.
