
LDC invests in CMS Window Systems
LDC has taken a minority stake in Cumbernauld-based building envelope manufacturer CMS Window Systems.
The investment will be used to support the company's growth, capitalising on increased demand for energy-efficient products in the construction market.
Banking facilities for the deal were provided by Bank of Scotland.
Company
Trading as CMS Enviro Systems, the company was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Cumbernauld. It employs 255 people across its manufacturing and recycling facilities in North Lanarkshire and Fife.
The business focuses on energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products, including PVCu, aluminium and timber composite windows, doors and curtain walling systems. Customers include housing investment programmes and commercial build projects in the UK, as well as local authorities and housing associations.
CMS has an in-house structural engineer and design team, while all extracted waste is processed at its own recycling facilities.
