
Star acquires Synergy Health Managed Services for £50m
Star Capital Partners has acquired British laundry business Synergy Health Managed Services from the Synergy Health group for £50m.
The company, which operates under the Linen Management Services brand, will seek to grow by extending its services into new sectors. It will also seek to make operational efficiencies.
The transaction marks Star's second acquisition in the healthcare services space, having previously owned Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen, a German provider of residential care for elderly people. Star sold Alloheim to Carlyle for €180m in August 2013.

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Derby, Synergy Health Managed Services provides sterilised linen and laundry services to the UK healthcare sector. Its clients include the NHS trusts and private hospitals, as well as ambulance, healthcare and community trusts. The business operates from facilities in Derby, Sheffield and Dunstable.
