Growth Capital Partners backs AMG
Growth Capital Partners (GCP) has bought AMG, a Glasgow-based seller of outdoor equipment.
The AMG senior management team invested alongside GCP and will continue to lead the business. Following the acquisition, AMG aims to develop new products and to expand geographically. GCP said it sourced the deal via its regional network.
RBS provided senior term debt and working capital facilities.
GCP invested via its fourth fund, for which the GP is currently on the fundraising trail.

Founded in 1966 and based in Glasgow, AMG is a supplier of branded camping, ski and outdoor equipment. The company has a turnover of £35m and 100 employees.
