HGGC's Davies Group merges with Cynergie
US-based private equity house Huntsman Gay Global Capital (HGGC) has acquired regulatory services business Cynergie UK.
Following the deal, the GP will merge Cynergie with UK portfolio company and claims management specialist Davies Group.
The deal comes three months after HGGC acquired Davies from Epiris in a £90m EV deal. Epiris – then Electra Partners – became a majority shareholder in the company in October 2011, investing £49m of equity in a £61m EV secondary buyout from LDC.
The deal is part of HGGC's investment thesis of expanding the group into new market segments via an acquisitive process.
Company
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Peterborough, Cynergie is a regulatory and complaints management business focusing on the insurance, financial services and utilities sectors.
