
Argand Partners acquires Brintons Carpets
US-based private equity firm Argand Partners has acquired luxury carpet designer and manufacturer Brintons Carpets from The Carlyle Group.
With the acquisition, Argand plans to support Brintons in the next phase of its development, including a planned expansion into the US.
The acquisition was supported by a loan facility provided by incumbent lenders HSBC Bank, Allied Irish Bank and Clydesdale Bank.

Brintons was acquired by Carlyle for £36m in September 2011, with equity drawn from Carlyle Strategic Partners II and III, according to unquote" data.

Brintons is a manufacturer and designer of luxury woven carpets for residential and commercial markets in the UK, the US, Australia and the Middle East. It has been involved in carpeting projects for the White House, the Kremlin, Buckingham Palace and the Venetian hotel and casino in Las Vegas.
The company is headquartered in Kidderminster and was founded in 1783. It employs approximately 1,670 people.
