H2 invests in BA Components
H2 Equity Partners has backed Northern Irish furniture component and door manufacturer BA Components.
Following the deal, BA Components will invest in the expansion of its manufacturing facilities and the development of new product ranges.
The company's founders, Brian and Kieran McCracken, will retain a significant stake in the business following the transaction.
H2 is currently investing from its fifth fund, which held its first and final close in March 2016 on its hard-cap of £200m and primarily targets investments in the UK and Ireland.
As part of the deal, H2 partner Simon Gilbert and investment manager Cathal Turley will take a seat on the BA Components board.
Company
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, BA Components makes kitchen and bedroom doors and furniture components. The company has two additional manufacturing sites in Doncaster and Rotherham.
According to publicly available documents, BA Components generated a turnover of £29.5m in the year ending March 2016, with profit on ordinary activity before taxation of £3.4m.
