Axa Strategic Ventures launches $175m fund-of-funds
Axa Strategic Ventures (ASV) has announced the launch of its latest fund-of-funds, ASV Diversified.
ASV, the venture capital arm of French asset manager Axa, aims to deploy the new $175m vehicle in a global portfolio of "top-tier" venture capital funds.
It intends to partner with seed-, early- and growth-stage managers investing in technology startups. ASV will commit between $5-15m per manager.
Additionally, the corporate venture investor has appointed Dominic Maier as principal to lead the new fund-of-funds. He reports to ASV managing partner Francois Robinet and is based in London.
Prior to joining the firm, Maier was vice-president at Adams Street Partners. He previously worked at EY's financial services business-modelling team, focusing on transactions in the banking and asset management sub-sectors.
