Maven appoints directors for MEIF Debt Fund teams
Maven Capital Partners has appointed Steve Lewis and Jonathan Lowe as investment directors leading the Maven MEIF Debt Fund team in the West Midlands, and the East and south-east Midlands, respectively.
Prior to joining Maven in Birmingham, Steve Lewis was working in SME investment and banking at Handelsbanken in Wolverhampton. He has also worked at NatWest, Barclays and the Bank of Scotland.
Lowe joins Maven in Nottingham from Catapult Ventures, where he was investment director and head of investor relations.
Prior to that, he worked at Capital for Enterprise as portfolio director. He spent nine years at the East Midlands Development Agency where he was responsible for new loan and equity funds and the delivery of two SME grant programmes.
Maven was appointed to manage £90m of SME-dedicated debt funds for the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) in August 2017.
The fund invests in SMEs through a range of funds, including six venture capital trusts, private equity, specialist property and a number of regionally focused funds, offering equity and debt financing of up to £10m.
