
Aurelius buys Connect Books
Munich-based investment company Aurelius Equity Opportunities has carved out UK-based book retailer Connect Books from its parent, Connect Group, for an undisclosed sum.
The division comprises six brands and has projected revenues of €250m for 2017. It will be renamed Bertram Group on completion.
Connect Group is selling its books division as it plans to focus its strategy on its specialist logistics business.
Aurelius now plans to expand the company's international footprint and e-commerce platform.

Connect Books is a multi-channel wholesaler, distributor and retailer of printed and digital books with operations in the UK, the Netherlands and France. It consists of six brands: Bertram Books, Wordery, Dawson Books, Erasmus, Houtschild and Bertram Library Services. The brands share a warehouse operation in Norwich.
