Cobe acquires Façades & Glazing Solutions from Saint-Gobain
Cobe Capital has acquired the facade installation and glass replacement division of UK-based glazing company Glassolutions from French building materials business Saint-Gobain.
Following the transaction, the newly independent company will be rebranded as Façades & Glazing Solutions UK.
The transaction is the US-based GP's second European investment since 2015, and comes a year after it acquired German hospital bed distributor Völker from Hill-Rom Holdings.
The latest deal follows a strategic review by the trade vendor of its British glass business.

Headquartered in Coventry, Glassolutions is the UK glazing division of Saint-Gobain. The facade installation and glass replacement division generates a turnover of £70m and has a headcount of 440, according to a statement. The new standalone entity will be headquartered in Rotherham.
