
Stride.VC closes £50m seed fund
London-based Stride.VC has announced the final closing of its debut seed fund on £50m, surpassing its £40m target.
The firm simultaneously announced the appointment of former LGT Impact head of finance Arjuna Soysa as operating partner.
Soysa joins Fred Destin (formerly of Accel Partners) and Harry Stebbings (formerly of Atomico), who co-founded the firm in 2017.
The fund recently announced its first investment, leading a $3.9m seed round for healthcare messaging app Forward Health. It held a first close on its £40m target in July.
Investors
Listed investment firm Draper Esprit has made a commitment to the fund alongside Delin Capital Compagnie Nationale a Portefeuille, Korelya Capital, Entrée Capital, Merifin and the newly de-merged marketplaces division of Schibsted (MPI), according to VC-focused news site Techcrunch.
Investments
The fund will invest in the seed rounds of UK-based technology startups. It will invest up to £1.5m per company.
