BGF backs Brindley Healthcare with €10m
BGF has invested €10m in Brindley Healthcare, a nursing home operator based in Ireland.
The capital will be used to support acquisitions and organic growth. Utilising the investment and a renewed debt facility from Ulster Bank, Brindley is aiming to increase its bed count from 400 to 1,000 by 2020. BGF’s Leo Casey will join the board.
BGF launched a dedicated €250m Ireland fund in 2017, which is backed by the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund as well as three major banks – AIB, Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank.

Founded in 2000 by entrepreneur Amanda Torrens, Brindley Healtcare is a nursing home group with eight homes and 400 beds. Its current operations are based across Counties Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Kildare and Laois.
