Livingbridge sells Thomas Fudge's to Burton's Biscuits
Livingbridge has sold premium biscuit maker Thomas Fudge’s to Burton’s Biscuit Company, the maker of Jammie Dodgers, Wagon Wheels and Maryland Cookies.
Thomas Fudge’s has been owned by Livingbridge since 2016, when the GP backed a management buyout of the company from its founders.
Burton’s Biscuits, which has been owned by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan since 2013, said the premium sector is one of the fastest-growing in the biscuit category.
Livingbridge said it had helped to strengthen Thomas Fudge's management team and revamped the brand. Last year, Thomas Fudge’s announced an agreement with Unilever to produce Marmite branded biscuits.
