
Livingbridge exits Create Fertility in management buy-back
Livingbridge has sold its minority stake in IVF specialist Create Fertility to the company's management team, led by majority shareholder and founder Geeta Nargund.
The GP, known at the time as Isis Equity Partners, invested £5m in the company in 2013 in exchange for a minority stake. With Livingbridge's support, Create grew from revenues of £4m in 2013 to £21m in 2018.
Company
Established in 2000, Create specialises in natural and mild in vitro fertilisation and in vitro maturation treatments by offering a less drug-intensive approach to in vitro reproduction, aimed at increasing safety and reducing side effects for women.
The company is based in London and operates eight clinics located across the UK, including low-cost clinics ABC IVF. It performs around 4000 treatments per year.
Create recently expanded into continental Europe through the acquisition of Copenhagen-based Vitanova fertility clinic.
