
Phoenix invests in 1000Heads
Phoenix Equity Partners has invested in 1000Heads, a UK-based provider of data and consultancy services related to social media.
Unquote understands that the GP has acquired a majority stake in the business and that the deal values the company at more than £30m. Phoenix is currently investing from Phoenix Equity Partners 2016, which invests in companies with enterprise values of £30-150m.
According to a statement, 1000Heads has increased its revenues by around 20% per annum "in recent years", reaching a turnover of £28m in its most recent financial year. The business will undertake an international expansion strategy under its new owners, in addition to increasing its range of services.
1000Heads' founder Mike Rowe will take on the role of non-executive director following the transaction.

The company has additional operations in New York, Sydney, Dubai and Berlin, with a total headcount of 150. Its clients include Microsoft, Wella, Grupo Bimbo, Uniqlo and Arm.
