
Sun European makes two appointments

Sun European Partners had hired Mark Corbridge as managing director and Davide Vassena as group chief operating officer.
Corbridge will be joining the transaction team where he will lead investment activity in Europe. Vassena will be joining as group COO. The pair will start on 1 October 2019.
Corbridge was previously a partner in the industrial group at TPG Capital in Europe. Prior to that, he was senior principal in the direct private equity team at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and also served as co-head of private equity at Doughty Hanson.
Vassena is joining Sun European from Investcorp where he was an operating partner. He started his career at Nokia Networks where he acted as head of business development in Brazil. He then joined McKinsey & Company where he was an associate principal and later moved on to Vertu in his role as vice-president for marketing and products.
Sun European is currently raising funds for Sun Capital Partners VII. The vehicle closed on $2.3bn in July 2019, above its target of $2.2bn.
