83North closes fifth fund on $300m
London- and Israel-based VC firm 83North has held a final close on $300m for its fifth VC fund.
The vehicle is incorporated in the Cayman Islands as 83North V but lists business headquarters in Israel.
The firm's previous vehicle held a final close on $250m in April 2017. This was the second fund it had raised since rebranding from Greylock IL to demonstrate its independence from the previously affiliated Greylock Partners.
83North now has total capital under management of $1.1bn, according to a statement.
Investments
83North V will focus on early-stage investments in technology companies across Europe and Israel. Ticket size will range from $1-15m. The firm's previous investments include iZettle, Just Eat and Ebury.
