
Endless's Enact acquires Bawtry Carbon
Endless has acquired carbon-based products manufacturer Bawtry Carbon International.
The firm drew equity from its Enact Fund II, which held a final close on £30m in June 2019 and makes investments of up to £5m in special situations. This is the fund's third investment.
Enact partner Chris Cormack will join the company's board.
Bawtry Carbon was put into administration in September 2019 in a process handled by Grant Thornton.
The company generated an operating loss of £2m from £17.7m in revenues in 2018, down from an operating loss of £2.1m from revenues of £11m in 2017.

Founded in 1972, Bawtry Carbon supplies carbon cathode products to the aluminium industry. The company employs 80 people at its headquarters in Austerfield.
