
LDC exits Keoghs
LDC has sold its minority stake in law firm Keoghs to trade buyer Davies.
Keoghs CEO John Whittle and the management team will continue to lead the business.
LDC took a 22.5% stake in Keoghs in 2012. During LDC's holding period, Keoghs increased its revenues from £55m in 2012 to £93m in 2019 and grew employee numbers from 1,200 to 1,700. The firm also made several acquisitions, acquiring an insurance team from Hill Dickinson in Liverpool, the defendant insurance business of Newcastle-based Sintons, and Caldwell Warner in Belfast.
Keoghs will form a new legal arm within the Davies Group.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close during the first quarter of 2020.
