YFM hires new partner
YFM Equity Partners has hired Victor Christou as partner.
Christou will also act as head of growth, a newly created role, and will be based in London. He will have responsibility for growth-stage assets in YFM's portfolio. He will seek new opportunities for investment and will work across the UK.
Christou launched a University of Oxford spin-off company, Opsys, in 1997. After selling the business in 2002, he founded Aborescent and then moved to Oxford Capital Partners in 2005 where he was a senior investment manager before joining Wellington Partners as a venture partner. In 2013 he joined Cambridge Innovation Capital, where he was CEO for almost four years.
YFM closed its most recent fund, YFM Equity Partners Buyout Fund II, on £80m in March 2020.
