Aberdeen Standard hires Cinven's Robinson
Aberdeen Standard Investments has hired Chris Robinson to its European private equity team.
Robinson joins as a senior investment director in the firm's European co-investment group. He will work with Colin Burrow, the head of co-investments at Aberdeen Standard, and will work towards developing its private equity offering.
Robinson joins from his position as principal at Cinven, where he acted as the non-executive director to consumer companies Kurt Geiger and Partner in Pet Food. Prior to that, Robinson was an associate at Perella Weinberg Partners.
The firm, which manages €11bn in private equity investments, has increasingly been partnering with lead investors on mid-market co-investments and GP-led secondaries in recent years. Examples include Capiton's GP-led transaction for KD Pharma, an investment in Trustly, and a co-investment in Primonial.
