
Macfarlanes hires Ropes & Gray's Hitching
Macfarlanes has hired partner Malcolm Hitching of Ropes & Gray.
Hitching joined the firm's London office on 10 August 2020 as a partner in the finance team, where he will advise on alternative credit, leveraged finance, speciality finance and private equity.
He will work with senior partner Sebastien Prichard Jones, who works on the creation and operation of asset-holding structures and family offices.
Hitching joins from the London office of Ropes & Gray, where he has been a partner since 2017. Prior to that, he spent 13 years at Herbert Smith Freehills, leaving as a partner. He was also previously a solicitor at Norton Rose Fulbright.
