
Aurelius acquires GKN Wheels & Structures
Aurelius has acquired off-highway wheels producer GKN Wheels & Structures in a carve-out from its parent company, UK-based automotive and aerospace parts producer GKN.
The deal is expected to close in November 2020 and is subject to anti-trust approval.
Aurelius intends to support the company in its carve-out from GKN and plans to explore options for potential sector consolidation.

GKN Wheels & Structures produces off-highway wheels for vehicles operating in industries including agriculture, mining and construction. Its clients include businesses operating in these sectors, as well as original equipment manufacturers, distributors and integrators.
The business generated sales of £170m in 2019 and employs 900 people. The company is based in Telford, with additional manufacturing facilities in the US, as well as test centres in Italy and the US. Its former parent company GKN was founded in 1759.
