
Star Capital acquires Rail Operations
Star Capital has acquired rolling stock movement and storage service Rail Operations (UK).
The firm will acquire a majority stake in the company, alongside existing management. Star Capital is currently investing from Star Strategic Assets III, which closed on €800m in June 2017. Star targets assets with enterprise values of €50m-1bn.
In conjunction with the deal, the business has established a new subsidiary, Orion, alongside its subsidiaries Rail Operations Group and Rail Operations (Rolling Stock Management).
Neil Bennett, previously of Beacon Rail Leasing, will be appointed executive chairman of the company.
