
Bestport invests in Playful Promises
Bestport has invested in lingerie and swimwear business Playful Promises.
Parker will be staying on as managing director and is growing her current team to bring in additional operational expertise to manage the growth. Will Hobhouse – previously chairman of Heals, Jack Wills and Sunspel, among other companies – is joining the board as chair.
This year the company is expecting to report 70% growth across the whole of its e-commerce network and has recently added its own manufacturing capability, improving its control over its supply chain, according to a statement.

Founded by Emma Parker in 2005, Playful Promises owns and manages a collection of lingerie and swimwear brands. The London-based company sells products on other platforms including Asos and Zalando, in addition to through its own website.
