Aurelius exits Transform Hospital Group to Y1 Capital
Aurelius has sold the operating company of cosmetic surgery group Transform Hospital Group (THG) to Y1 Capital.
Y1 owns a portfolio of healthcare services businesses in the UK and Europe, including cosmetic surgery and hair transplant chain Signature Medical.
The buying GP's CEO Tony Veverka is the former CEO of THG. Y1 is undertaking a roll-up in the sector with a view to IPO in the Nordic Growth markets, according to its website.
Aurelius formed THG in 2015 through the merger of Transform and The Hospital Group. The company offers cosmetic surgery including weight loss treatment via 11 outpatient clinics and two hospitals in the UK.
The GP will continue to own The Pines hospital, located in Manchester.
The group had revenues of GBP 48m in 2021, saying in its most recent financial reports that its core markets had returned to pre-pandemic demand.
Aurelius said that the deal was completed via a competitive sales process.
