Levine Leichtman bolsters London team with former Charterhouse director hire

US private equity firm Levine Leichtman Capital Partners has hired William Trevelyan Thomas as director in the firm’s investment management group based in London, according to a statement.
He will be responsible for origination of new investment opportunities, investment due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio management, it said.
Trevelyan Thomas joins LLCP after a six-year stint at Charterhouse Capital Partners where he was responsible for the origination, evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities with a focus on TMT and business services sectors and portfolio company management. Prior to that, he was with H.I.G. Capital for five years.
He is the latest in a series of European hires and appointments in LLCP. Josh Kaufman was appointed head of Europe in June, succeeding John O’Neill, who has transitioned to a new role as a senior advisor, as reported.
In January, the fund hired Matthias Tabbert as managing director with responsibility for establishing and managing the firm’s new office in Frankfurt, Germany, as reported.
LLCP primarily focuses on small-mid cap investments in Europe via Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Europe II, which closed in 2020 with EUR 463m in capital commitments. The firm can also invest in larger European businesses via Levine Leichtman Capital Partners VI, which closed on USD 2.2bn in early 2019.
The Los Angeles-headquartered firm is also present in the Hague and Stockholm. Its latest investments include Global Loan Agency Services, a provider of administration, agency and trustee services developed specifically for the credit markets, in May 2022.
