GE Capital backs Marlin's Hospedia
GE Capital is said to have invested £2m in UK point of care systems provider Hospedia.
The money was provided in the form of an equipment leasing facility and adds to the £8m facility provided last September. It will fund investment in clinical bed-side technology and the roll-out of clinical support software.
Hospedia is a portfolio company of US firm Marlin Equity Partners, which acquired the company in August 2010.
Company
Hospedia was founded in 1993 and is based in Slough. The company specialises in providing bed-side technology including media, information and clinical support software to 150 hospitals in the UK. The business employs 400 people.
The company acquired patient bed flow management company Extramed in July and plans to integrate the system in its bedside terminals.
