Mobeus invests in Access-IS
Mobeus Equity Partners has invested in data-capture business Access-IS.
The investment will be used to increase the company's sales and manufacturing capabilities.
Company
Established in 1985 as a specialist keyboard maker, Access-IS is now a manufacturer of equipment used to capture and transfer information into electronic systems based on bar codes, radio-frequency identification and image-processing techniques.
The Reading-based business generates 80% of its sales overseas. Customers typically hail from airlines and airports, and the security, public transport and ticketing sectors.

Guy-Franck Makach is CEO of Access-IS, while Alistair Crawford chairs the business. Chris Price led the transaction for Mobeus and Guy Blackburn has joined the board.
