Albion invests in Cisiv
Albion Ventures has invested in healthcare software-as-a-service business Cisiv.
The deal sees Albion providing the company with working capital to expand its sales team and hire additional project managers, as well as to service its customer base.
The investment is in line with Albion's belief that non-interventional studies of licensed medicines is a fast-growing area of drug research as pharmaceutical companies and regulators are more aware of the safety, economics and outcomes of data derived from the use of medication in everyday settings.
Company
Surrey-based Cisiv provides a web-based platform for data capture and management to aid long-term studies into the safety, cost and benefit of licensed medicines.
The platform, baseline plus, provides a range of tools designed to capture real world patient data in order to provide real-time study management information.
People
Civis was set up by Dominic Farmer and is chaired by Stephen Powell. Christoph Ruedig is investment director at Albion.
