
Scottish Equity Partners announces fund launch
British growth equity and venture capital investor Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has launched new fund SEP IV, already raising £185m.
SEP IV has exceeded the company's previous fund, SEP III, which closed on £160m in 2006. The fund target has not been disclosed.

All current commitments came from SEP's existing institutional investors.
Investments
The fund will be used for early-stage investments and funding for more established companies, ranging between £2-5m and £5-15m respectively. SEP plans to use the fund primarily to invest in IT, energy and healthcare companies with high growth potential across the UK.
People
The fund will be managed by SEP with a staff of 25 across London and Glasgow.
