
Cinven backs Host Europe
Cinven has agreed to acquire internet domain and hosting company Host Europe Group from Montagu Private Equity for £438m.
Cinven is acquiring the company through its fifth fund, which closed on €5.3bn. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
Host Europe's turnover and EBITDA grew by 16% and 23% respectively over the past 4 years. The company expects to continue to generate double-digit growth in 2013.
Cinven deemed the company to have an attractive financial profile, including strong organic growth and high earnings visibility due to its subscription model.

Founded in 1997 and headquartered in the UK, Host Europe provides hosting and domain services to small and medium-sized enterprises, with approximately 600 employees.
It offers an end-to-end product suite including domain registration, application hosting, cloud hosting and managed hosting targeting SMEs, with most of its turnover generated in the UK and Germany.
The group includes the brands 123-reg, Heart Internet, Host Europe, Webfusion, Domainmonster, RedCoruna, Domainbox and Brand Fortress, and has a market presence in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Spain.
