Sun European buys River Group
Sun European Partners has acquired UK-based content marketing agency River Group, with a view to developing a partnership between River and existing portfolio company Polestar.
Sun European stated that the two companies would remain independent, but would work closely on specific projects.
The GP acquired Polestar, a provider of printing and publishing services, for an undisclosed amount from a group of banks and credit funds in 2011. The vendors included London-based BlueBay Asset Management. GE Capital provided debt to finance the deal.

Founded in 1994, London-based River Group delivers marketing services to corporates, addressing both print and online channels. It employs 84 staff.
People
Jordan Wadsworth worked on the deal for Sun European. Nicola Murphy will remain CEO of River Group following the deal, and will also retain a stake in the business.
