
SEP sells ControlCircle to Alternative Networks
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has sold hosting and cloud-based services provider ControlCircle to Alternative Networks for ТЃ39.4m.
SEP first backed ControlCircle in 2010 with a £6m capital injection. The round marked the first institutional investment for the London-based company and was used to expand the business into new markets.
Alternative Networks stated it had spent the past three years evaluating hosting opportunities, with Control Circle standing out as one of only two businesses meeting the group's acquisition requirements.
Alternative Networks is an AIM-listed provider of business communications and IT infrastructure.
Company
Founded in 2001 and based in London, ControlCircle designs and implements the outsourced management of IT infrastructures. The company posted a £21.1m turnover and a £1.9m EBITDA in 2013.
