
Inflexion backs MBO of CTC Aviation
Inflexion Private Equity has backed the management team of British aviation training services company CTC Aviation in acquiring the business.
HSBC provided debt facilities for the transaction.
Company
CTC Aviation is a UK- and New Zealand-based aviation training services provider. Founded in 1995 by Chris Clarke, the company offers training from entry level to obtaining a commercial pilot's licence. CTC's customers include British Airways, Qatar Airways and easyJet.
People
Mark Williams, Catherine Richards, Malcolm Coffin and Philip Edmans led the transaction on behalf of Inflexion. Mark Williams and John Hartz, managing partner at Inflexion, will join the board of CTC as non-executive directors. Yagnish Chotai, senior adviser to Inflexion, will join the company as chairman of the board. Founder Chris Clarke will be promoted to president of the company, while Robert Clarke will become CEO.
