Albion’s Radnor House acquires Combe Bank
Albion Ventures has injected a further £9.5m into Radnor House School to fund the acquisition of Kent-based Combe Bank School.
Combe Bank will be modelled on Radnor House. The investment will be used to develop the site, modernise existing facilities and provide new facilities where necessary.
Albion stated it plans to build an independent schools group and is looking for further investment opportunities.
Previous funding
In October 2010, Albion provided £8.7m to set up fee-paying Radnor House School in Twickenham. The funding was mainly used to acquire the site and pay for the building's conversion.
Since opening in September 2011, the school's intake has increased to 360 and will be at capacity of 420 in September 2015.
Company
Located in Sundridge, Combe Bank became an independent girls' school in the 1920s, admitting boys for the first time in September 2014. It currently has 235 pupils aged 3–18.
